NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana’s Henry Lyon and ULM’s Stafon Roach have earned recognition as the Sun Belt Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performances over the last week.
Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Henry Lyon, Louisiana

Two weeks after breaking a 43-year-old record in the 3,000 meters, Louisiana’s Henry Lyon broke a second, 43-year-old record in the 1-mile run after posting a first-place time of 4:05.30 at the Howie Ryan Invitational. His time eclipsed the previous school record of 4:05.49 set by Ian Wilkerson in 1983. The senior enters the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships with the league's top time in the 3,000 meters (8:01.28) and second in the Mile run.

Stafon Roach, ULM

ULM’s Stafon Roach tallied his third first-place finish in the triple jump this season, as he reached a season-best mark of 15.86m/52-0.5. The result leads the league in the event, ranks sixth highest on the South Central Region performance list, and 28th on the NCAA Division I list.
