Four Sun Belt Student-Athletes Earn USTFCCCA All-America Honors at NCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Four Sun Belt student-athletes competed at the 2025 NCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championship over the weekend in Virginia with all four earning All-America honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Monday.

Texas State earned three of the honors as South Alabama sent one representative to the championship. The Bobcats were represented by Kason O’Riley, Aiden Hayes and Henry Buckles on the men’s side. 2023 Outdoor Track & Field Pole Vault national champion Kyle Rademeyer represented the Jaguars.

Athletes who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and relays took home First-Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America.

Rademeyer claimed the eighth NCAA All-America pole vault honor of his career at the championship. He received his sixth overall first-team All-America accolade after he cleared 5.61m/18-4.75 in the pole vault to take fifth place in the competition. Rademeyer now owns the most NCAA trophies by any Jaguar Track athlete and is one five athletes to be named to the All-America team three separate times or more, joining Francois Prinsloo (2021-24) Kaitlyn Beans (2014-16), Renaldo Frechou (2014-16) and David Kimani (2000).

Hayes and O'Riley competed in the men's high jump and became two of three athletes in Texas State history to compete in the men's high jump at the indoor national meet. The pair joined Charles Austin, who finished in the top four in both 1989 and 1990 at the indoor championship. Austin later claimed an individual title in 1990 at the NCAA Outdoor Championship and currently holds both school records for indoor and outdoor in the event.

Hayes tied for 12th place along with three other athletes in the event. He marked a jump of 2.11m/6-11. O'Riley recorded a mark of 2.16m/7-1, placed ninth overall and was one spot short of earning first-team All-America honors.

Buckles appeared in the men's shot put and placed 14th overall. Buckles recorded a mark of 17.72m/58-1.75 and became the second Texas State athlete to compete in the men's shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships since Darian Brown finished ninth in 2015.
