NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern’s NaJ Watson and Imani Moore earned recognition as the Sun Belt Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performance last week.
Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
NaJ Watson, Georgia Southern

Georgia Southern’s NaJ Watson set a new program record in the 60m with a time of 7.36 surprising her own record set last season. Watson took second place at the Bob Pollock Invitational inside the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Facility. Watson also took sixth in the 200m with a time of 23.66. Watson’s new personal best is good for second in the Sun Belt.
Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Imani Moore, Georgia Southern

Georgia Southern’s Imani Moore set two new school records at the Bob Pollock Invitational inside the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex. Moore set a new indoor school record in the long jump with a mark of 6.25m surpassing an 18-year old record. Moore continued her success setting a new school record in the triple jump with a mark of 12.82m surpassing a 2007 record. The senior took first place in the long jump and second place in the triple jump. Moore ties for the best mark in the long jump and triple jump in the Sun Belt.
