NEW ORLEANS – Georgia State’s Keniya Walker and Zayna Fray have earned recognition as the Sun Belt Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performances over the last week.
Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Keniya Walker, Georgia State

Georgia State junior Keniya Walker claimed two titles and broke a program record over the weekend, wining the 200-meter (24.25) and 400-meter (54.44). Her 54.44 performance in the 400-meter broke a program record that had been standing for more than 20 years. The 400 time also ranks first among the league.
Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Zayna Fray, Georgia State

Georgia State senior Zayna Fray claimed the title in the weight throw with an 18.86m/61-10.5 mark to remain undefeated in the event this season. She now has claimed first-place for five-straight meets in the weight throw and ranks 27th nationally with her season-best mark. Her best mark of 20.62m also leads the league.
