VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A pair of Sun Belt student-athletes competed at the 2025 NCAA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship over the weekend in Virginia with both earning All-America honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Monday.

Texas State and Arkansas State each qualified one individual for the championship. The Bobcats were represented by Melanie Duron and Michelle Ogbemudia represented the Red Wolves.

Athletes who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and relays took home First-Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America.

In the women's shot put, Duron placed 13th to earn Second Team All-America honors with a mark of 16.74m/54-11.25 and became the third member from the women's team to compete at indoor nationals in the shot put in program history.

Ogbemudia earned Second Team All-American honors after placing 12th in the weight throw. After an initial toss of 20.89m/68-6.5, Ogbemudia recorded her top throw of 21.37m/70-1.5 on her second attempt. She is Arkansas State’s highest women's finisher at the indoor championships since Sharika Nelvis won the 60-meter hurdles in 2014 and the 10th women's indoor All-America performer in school history.
