Coastal Carolina’s Novello & Ehlers Collect Season’s Final Sun Belt Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina sophomore Ava Novello and senior Raychel Ehlers have been named the 2025 season’s final Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week after an undefeated weekend at the Palmetto Invitational in Columbia, S.C.

?The weekly honor is the first by a Coastal Carolina pair this season, as Ehlers receives the recognition for the second time in her career and first since week one of the 2024 campaign alongside teammate Madison Allred.
 
The Chanticleers went 3-1 on the weekend at the Palmetto Invitational, as Novello and Ehlers were victorious at the No. 4 spot in the lineup in all four contests with wins over Jacksonville, No. 15 Georgia State, No. 20 Florida Gulf Coast, and South Carolina.
 
The duo won their first three matches in straight sets before earning a comeback triumph over the host Gamecocks in three sets as part of a 3-2 team victory to cap the weekend. In the win over Jacksonville, Ehlers collected her 94th career individual victory, setting a new program record.

Up next is the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Championship which will be held April 24-26 at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala.
