NEW ORLEANS – The App State women have been predicted to win the 2025 Sun Belt Cross Country Championship as determined by a vote of the leagues head coaches. The Sun Belt on Friday released its 2025 Cross Country Preseason Poll.
 
The Mountaineer women, who won their first title since 2018 last year in 2024, tallied 165 points with 10-of-13 first-place votes. Arkansas State was picked to finish second at the championship with a total of 147 points and two first-place votes.
 
The 2025 Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships are set for Friday, October 31 at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve in Foley, Ala. The women are scheduled to run the 5K at 8:30 a.m.
