NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina’s Adam Groves and App State’s Breanna Budzinski each recorded personal best times in their respective races to claim the first pair of Sun Belt Cross Country Runners of the Week honors. 
 
Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Adam Groves, Coastal Carolina
(Jr. | Waynesboro, Va.)
 
Coastal Carolina’s Adam Groves won the men's 6k event at the Elon Opener with a personal best time of 18:19.8, the second best 6k time in school history. This is Groves' second individual cross country victory after winning the Chanticleer Challenge 8k last season.
 
Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Breanna Budzinski, App State

App State sophomore Breanna Budzinski set pace for the Mountaineers at the Covered Bridge Open on Aug. 29, finishing 13th overall with a 5K personal best of 17:52.6. With her efforts and the top 20 time, the Mountaineers earned a third-place finish.
