NEW ORLEANS – Old Dominion’s Jean-Karim Olivier de Sardan and James Madison’s team of Esteve Agusti and Francisco Sinopoli earned Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Players of the Week honors.

Old Dominion’s Jean-Karim Olivier de Sardan went 3-0 in the Battle in the ‘Boro, where he played against No. 62 Rice, No. 52 MTSU and Utah. He beat his Rice opponent Santiago Navarro 6-4, 6-3 on court two to start the week. He followed that performance with another win over his MTSU opponent Jonas Dziopak 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 on court three. Olivier de Sardan finished the weekend with his third victory over his Utah opponent Emmett Potter 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 on court two, which also clinched ODU’s win.

Men’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Esteve Agusti and Francisco Sinopoli from James Madison rolled to a 6-1 win over Longwood's #1 doubles team of Daniel Borisov and Timeo Puech. The LU duo had previously ranked as high as #61 nationally in early February.
