NEW ORLEANS – Old Dominion’s Adam Majchrzak was joined by teammate Thomas Nelson as the pair earn the first Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Players of the Week honors of the season.

Old Dominion’s Adam Majchrzak went a combined 4-0 to start the season with wins over Georgetown and Yale. In addition to winning both of his doubles matches, the sophomore won 6-4, 6-0 on court two against James O’Sullivan from Georgetown to put the Monarchs ahead 3-0 in the match. After again winning his doubles match against Yale, Majchrzak defeated No. 82 ranked Edward Liao at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-4.
Men’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week
Adam Majchrzak / Thomas Nelson, Old Dominion
The No. 1 doubles team from Old Dominion featuring Adam Majchrzak and Thomas Nelson started the year with a 2-0 weekend against Georgetown and Yale. The duo won 6-2 on court one against Georgetown as the Monarchs secured the doubles point in a 6-1 victory. The pair also won 6-2 on court one in the match against Yale to finish the week 2-0.
