NEW ORLEANS – Freshman Zoe Duval of App State won her second tournament of the year last Tuesday, earning Sun Belt women’s golfer of the week.

Duval finished first at the Babs Steffens Invitational on Tuesday finishing 7-under par shooting 69-69-68 to total 206, winning by five strokes. Her 7-under par set a new 54-hole program record at App State.     
    
Trailing by one shot after the first 16 holes, Duval had a hole in one on the 165-yard 17th hole to move into first place at 2-under par. Another 69 in the second round gave Duval a three-shot lead entering the third round, finishing the tournament with a final round of 68.

The freshman’s total card of 206 led App State to a second-place finish in the 16-team field on Tuesday.
