NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina’s beach volleyball tandem comprising sophomore Frida Meincke Lyø and senior Emma Kunaus have been named Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week following strong performances at the Chanticleer Challenge.

The honor is the first for the Coastal Carolina since Ava Novello and Raychel Ehlers were recognized following the final week of the 2025 regular season.

Lyø and Kunaus recorded a 2-2 mark competing as the Chanticleers’ top flight which included wins over 15th-ranked Florida Atlantic and Tulane. The duo earned a three-set triumph over the nationally-ranked Owls, before a straight-set victory against the Green Wave’s top pair.
