NEW ORLEANS – After propelling their teams to conference-opening series victories, Marshall’s Drew Harlow and Troy’s Jimmy Janicki earned the Sun Belt baseball weekly accolades. 
 
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Drew Harlow, Marshall 
(Gr., RHP – Halifax, Va.)
 
Thundering Herd graduate student right-handed pitcher Drew Harlow struck out 10 over 8.0 innings in a 4-2 series-clinching win over Georgia State. The Halifax, Va., product conceded just two unearned runs on three hits, holding opponents to a .115 batting average. Harlow registered five 1-2-3 frames and four with multiple strikeouts.
 
Baseball Player of the Week
Jimmy Janicki, Troy 
(So., C – Downers Grove, Ill.) 
 
Trojans sophomore catcher Jimmy Janicki hit .471 (8-for-17) and slugged 1.235 in a 2-2 week for Troy, including a weekend series win over Old Dominion. The Downers Grove, Ill., native posted five extra-base hits—a double and four home runs; seven runs scored; and nine RBI. Janicki drew three walks to accumulate a .550 on-base percentage on the week.
