NEW ORLEANS — The Sun Belt Conference issued a public reprimand and fine to South Alabama athletic director Joel Erdmann for comments related to officiating following the Jaguars’ win over Coastal Carolina during the Visit Pensacola Sun Belt Women’s Basketball Championship presented by Air Force Reserve on March 4. 
 
The comments violated Sun Belt Constitution and Bylaw 10.5.4 (a), which states:
 
10.5.4  Officiating
(a) Member Institution personnel including student-athletes shall not make derogatory comments or demonstrate negative reaction about officiating to any source or sources.
 
The Sun Belt Conference considers this matter concluded and will have no further comment.
