Appalachian State 65, Elon 62
BOONE, N.C. - For the third time in as many games, Appalachian State University women's basketball (3-2) captured a tight victory. This time, it was a 65-62 triumph over Elon (1-3) on Tuesday evening at the Holmes Center.

With the win, it's the first time App has won three consecutive non-conference games since the 2014-15 season. Appalachian already surpasses the number of non-conference victories from last season.

UTA 78, Grambling 54
ARLINGTON - UT Arlington featured four in doubles figures as the offense sparked a 78-54 win over Grambling State on Tuesday night to end a three-game homestand to open the season at College Park Center.

The Lady Mavericks, earning their 50th all-time win at College Park Center - opening in 2012, used a pair of big runs in both the second and third quarters to push into double-figure leads for much of the final half of the matchup. UTA improved to 2-1 to open the season, while Grambling State fell to 1-3. UTA embarks on a five-game road trip beginning on Friday at Fresno State (7 p.m.) and Sunday at San Francisco.

Texas State 68, UTSA 60
SAN ANTONIO – The Texas State women's basketball team (2-2) defeated the UTSA Roadrunners (2-3) on Tuesday night at the UTSA Convocation Center by a score of 68-60.

Senior guard Toshua Leavitt extended her double-figure streak to 11 games with a game-high 25 points. She also dished out a career-best eight assists and collected a pair of steals in 37 minutes of action. Leavitt connected on five 3-point field goal attempts to give her multiple made 3-pointers in 23 consecutive games.

No. 20 Texas A&M 61, Little Rock 40
LITTLE ROCK - The Little Rock Trojans (2-2) fell to the No. 20 ranked Texas A&M Aggies 61-40 Tuesday night.

The Trojans started off hot, ripping off a 6-0 run that was sustained by tough defense and battling for defensive rebounds. For the duration of the quarter, the two squads would trade buckets, A&M taking the lead 12-10 with 2:59 left in the opening quarter and would hold the advantage 15-12 after the first 10 minutes.

Stony Brook 72, Georgia Southern 43
STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook women's basketball used a 25-5 second quarter to come away with a 72-43 victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Tuesday evening at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena in Stony Brook, N.Y.

The Seawolves (3-1) picked up their third straight win with the victory, building a 32-point halftime lead. The Eagles (1-4) played better in the second half, outscoring Stony Brook by a 31-28 margin, but the first-half deficit proved to be too steep to overcome.

Louisiana Tech 80, Arkansas State 70
JONESBORO, Ark. (11/20/18) – The Arkansas State women’s basketball team fell to Louisiana Tech 80-70 in a non-conference matchup Tuesday evening at First National Bank Arena.

Trinitee Jackson led three Red Wolves’ in double-figures with 12 points, While Jireh Washington and Jordan Elder each added 10, but it was not enough as the Lady Techsters drained 11, 3-pointers on the night.
