Arkansas State 4, ULM 0
The Arkansas State women’s team scored four times as the Red Wolves opened up their 2018 Sun Belt Conference slate with a 4-0 victory over Louisiana-Monroe Friday afternoon at the A-State Soccer Park.

The Red Wolves got goals from Sarah Sodoma, Dana O’Boye, Bailey Gellis and then were the beneficiaries of an ‘own goal’ by the Warhawks. The four goal outburst is the largest for an A-State team since it scored it also scored four against Troy on Sept. 17, 2017.

With the win, A-State improved to 4-2-2 overall and are 1-0-0 in conference play, while the Warhawks remain winless on the season at 0-9-0 and 0-2-0 in the Sun Belt.

Texas State 2, Louisiana 1 (2OT)
After falling behind with almost 20 minutes left in regulation, the Texas State soccer team fought back to tie the match before coming away with the road victory 2-1 in double overtime over Louisiana at the Ragin' Cajun Soccer/Track Complex on Ally Kewish's golden goal.

With the win, the Bobcats improve to 4-5-0 on the season and 2-0-0 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Ragin' Cajuns drop to 1-7-2 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play.

Coastal Carolina 1, South Alabama 0 (2OT)

The win improved the Chanticleers record to 3-4-1 overall and 2-0 in Sun Belt action, while the Jaguars dropped to 3-6 and 1-1.

Appalachian State 3, Troy 2 (2OT)
Appalachian State women's soccer (4-4-1, 1-0-0 SBC) topped Troy (2-8-0, 1-1 SBC) in an exhilarating 3-2 double overtime win in the Sun Belt opener on Friday evening at the Troy Soccer Complex.

App State pulled off a stellar comeback as its final two goals came with less than a minute in both regulation and the second overtime period. At the 109-minute mark, Blair Anderes took advantage of a Troy turnover for a wide-open shot in the net with the score tied to lift Appalachian to the triumph and the Mountaineers' first Sun Belt-opening victory since 2015. It was Anderes' second goal of the season, both of which have been game-winning scores.

Appalachian matches last season's win total while Friday night's victory was the first for the Black and Gold on the road.

Sairra Tucker was the hero on a rainy Friday night at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex as she netted the game-winning goal in the 80th minute to seal the first conference victory for the Trojans against a scrappy Georgia State side.
