MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama senior Briana Morris recorded a brace, and freshman Bergdís Fanney Einarsdóttir had a goal and an assist in the Jaguars' 3-1 victory over UAB Friday night at The Cage in game two of the Jaguar Classic.

The Jags won their second straight outing to improve to 2-0-1 on the year. The Blazers drop to 0-2-1.

Program Best Start for Bobcats with 1-0 Win over I-35 Rival UTSA
SAN ANTONIO – A tough, physical match ended with the Texas State soccer team's (3-0) third 1-0 victory of the season, this time against I-35 rival UTSA (1-1) Friday night at the Park West Athletic Complex.

The 3-0 start is the best in Bobcat history. It is also the first time that TXST has shutout its first three opponents of a season. TXST extended its undefeated streak to 16 matches, tied for the longest active streak in the nation with UCLA and tied for the third longest in Sun Belt Conference history.

App State's Perkins Scores Goal in Draw Versus Duquesne
BOONE, N.C. - App State women's soccer junior Mary Perkins scored in a 1-1 draw versus Duquesne in the home opener on Friday afternoon at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.

Perkins scored her third-career goal in thrilling fashion as she tied up the contest following a Deena DeBaldo goal in the fifth minute that gave the Dukes a 1-0 lead. The junior fired away from 35 yards out as the first 45 expired. Olivia Cohen fed Perkins for the assist and recorded her first collegiate point.

Gritty Trojans Outlast Hatters for 3-2 Victory
MOBILE, Ala. – The Troy Trojans soccer program remained unbeaten on the 2019 season Friday afternoon, defeating Stetson University 3-2 at the Jaguar Classic hosted by South Alabama.

The difference in the match, was set piece goal from senior captain Kiersten Edlund, whose perfect corner-kick service just eluded Stetson (1-2) goalkeeper Lara Bates before finding the net.

Little Rock Soccer Falls to Tough Tulsa Team, 1-3
LITTLE ROCK – The Trojan soccer team (1-2-1) was unable to defeat a tough Tulsa team this evening, dropping the road match 3-1. Julia Edholm scored both the team's and her own second goal of the season in just the fourth match of her collegiate career. Thanks to junior Morgan Smocovich's cross from the corner, the freshman was able to sink the ball into the net at the 56th minute.

GS Women’s Soccer Take 4-3 Win Over Gardner-Webb in Overtime
BOILING SPRINGS, NC - The Georgia Southern women's soccer team scored the first goal in overtime to win Friday night's game against Gardner-Webb, 4-3.

The first 25 minutes of the game were scoreless despite both Georgia Southern and Gardner-Webb taking three shots each.
