App State Women's Soccer Dominates UNCA for First Victory
BOONE, N.C. - App State women's soccer was clicking on all cylinders in a dominating 6-0 win over UNC Asheville on Sunday afternoon at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.

The Mountaineers (1-2-1) registered their first victory of the season in an offensive outburst, tallying their most goals since the 2013 campaign when the Apps scored nine against the Citadel. It was a day of firsts for the Black and Gold, as six different athletes scored for Appalachian with five players scoring their first collegiate goal.

MOBILE, Ala. -- Behind another strong effort in net from junior Haleigh Mercer, the Troy Trojans battled the UAB Blazers to a 1-1 draw Sunday night at the Jaguar Classic hosted by South Alabama.

The draw extends Troy's (2-0-2) unbeaten streak to four consecutive matches and marks the second consecutive weekend where Troy earned a Friday victory and a Sunday draw.

Texas State's Davis Nets Two Penalty Kicks in Overtime Victory over Huskies
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Senior Kaylee Davis scored both goals from the penalty spot in the Texas State soccer team's 2-1 overtime victory over Houston Baptist Sunday night in the 4th Annual Teal Match at the Bobcat Soccer Complex. The two penalty kicks by the Allen, Texas native are the most ever by a Bobcat in a match.

The Bobcats are now 4-0 on the season and are undefeated in their last 17 matches, still tied for the longest streak in the nation with UCLA. The Huskies exited San Marcos with a 1-2 record.

Jonesboro, Ark. (9/1/19) – Three Red Wolves scored for the first time this season, as the Arkansas State soccer team defeated in-state foe Central Arkansas 3-1, Sunday afternoon at the A-State Soccer Park.

Following the win, the Red Wolves improved to 2-1 while Central Arkansas fell to 0-3 on the year.

Buies Creek, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's soccer team dropped a road contest to former Big South foe Campbell 2-0 on Sunday evening in Buies Creek, N.C. With the loss, the Chants fall to 0-4-0 on the season while the Camels improved to 1-1-1.

Little Rock Scores One, Unable to Equalize in 2-1 Loss to Missouri State
LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock soccer team (1-3-1) fought hard at home against a quick Missouri State team, falling 2-1 after a strong attempt at equalizing the match. Doro Greulich scored her first goal of the season in the first appearance of her senior campaign, soaring a well-placed shot into the net after being awarded a free kick right outside the box.
