NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced its Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Teal Battle, Little Rock
(#35, Sr, F - Millington, Tenn.)
Teal Battle tied a career-high with 25 points including a career-best five 3-pointers Saturday, leading Little Rock to a sweep of rival Arkansas State. She averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds over the weekend. Her performance Saturday prevented A-State from getting its first-ever win at the Jack Stephens Center. Battle led Little Rock back from an 8-point deficit to force overtime, hitting all five of her 3-pointers in the final 10 minutes of regulation and overtime. She shot 42.3% from the field, 55.6% from beyond the arc and was perfect from the free throw line (8-for-8). Battle tallied 15 rebounds along with four steals and two blocks on the week while helping Little Rock keep their five-game home win streak alive.

Sun Belt Conference Women's Basketball Standings
This season, the 12 Sun Belt women's basketball programs is split into an East Division and a West Division to minimize travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Teams will play each other on back to back days (Fridays and Saturdays) at the same location.
All 12 teams will compete in the
Sun Belt Conference Championship which will be held March 5-8, 2021 in Pensacola, FL.
