NEW ORLEANS – South Alabama’s Chiara Singarella and Arkansas State’s Olivia Luther each aided their team to undefeated weekends in league action to earn Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors.
Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Chiara Singarella, South Alabama

Jaguars’ sophomore forward Chiara Singarella finished the weekend with two goals and two assists. In Thursday night’s 3-1 win over App State, Singarella scored a pair of goals with an assist. Trailing 1-0, South Alabama scored three unanswered that went through the feet of Singarella. She then assisted the lone goal in South Alabama's 1-0 win over Troy on Sunday. South Alabama is currently one of eight NCAA Division I women’s soccer teams to remain unbeaten on the year.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia Luther, Arkansas State

Red Wolves’ senior goalkeeper Olivia Luther stymied Georgia State Sunday for her seventh career shutout; the third-most in program history. Luther registered nine saves in the clean sheet effort as the Red Wolves held the second-most potent offense in the league to its first scoreless match in league play. Thursday against Troy, Luther allowed one goal, but stopped two other shots in an important division victory. The win marked the 11th of her career, tied for the fourth-most in program history.
