NEW ORLEANS – The Arkansas State women have been predicted to win the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships as determined by a vote of the league’s head coaches. The Sun Belt on Thursday released its 2023 Cross Country Preseason Coaches’ Polls.
The Arkansas State women, who have captured three of the last four Sun Belt women’s cross country titles, garnered 159 total points and 6-of-13 first-place votes. James Madison, Marshall and Southern Miss tied for second with 136 points. The Golden Eagles won the title a year ago and received four first-place votes.
The 2023 Sun Belt Conference Championships are set for Saturday, October 28 at Graham Creek Nature Preserve in Foley, Ala.
