CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL | ROUND 2 RESULTS | ROUND 3 PAIRINGS

POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Despite windy conditions throughout the afternoon, Texas State took over first place on the team leaderboard by shooting a six-over-par 294 during the second round of the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golf Championship on Tuesday afternoon at Lakewood Golf Club.
 
The third round of the 54-hole championship begins at 8 a.m. CT on Wednesday and will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live scoring available through Golfstat.

The Bobcats stand atop the leaderboard with a two-day total of five-over-par (581), leading ULM (587, +11), Georgia Southern (589, +13), Old Dominion (591, +15), Marshall (593, +17) and Arkansas State (594, +18) among the top six teams.

Marshall led all teams on day two of competition shooting a four-over-par 292 to climb four spots on the team leaderboard, while Arkansas State was five over at 293 to jump three spots. Freshman Ashley Kim led all players with a two-under-par 70 in the second round to propel the Red Wolves’ surge.
 
ULM freshman Daniela Campillo remains atop the individual leaderboard after carding a 69 and 74 in her first two rounds, respectively, as her 143 total places her one-under-par overall. Texas State’s Hailey Jones turned in a par 72 for the second day in a row to position herself in second place with a 144 two-day total.

The Lakewood Golf Club, a member of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, had its beginnings in 1944. Perry Maxwell, designer of the Tulsa Southern Hills Country Club, created Lakewood’s original Dogwood course in 1947, making it the first professional quality golf course in south Alabama. Lakewood Golf Club hosted the 1974, 1986 and 2021 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship.
