App State’s Kidd and Marshall’s Toth Earn Sun Belt Cross Country Runners of the Week Honors

NEW ORLEANS – App State’s Aaron Kidd and Marshall’s Hannah Toth each recorded the fastest team times in their respective races to claim Sun Belt Cross Country Runners of the Week honors. 
 
Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Aaron Kidd, App State
(So. | Hurricane, W.Va.)
 
App State sophomore Aaron Kidd led the pack at the Firetower Project Run on Oct. 3, placing first with an 8K time of 24:37.2. Kidd was six seconds shy of his 8K personal best, 24:31.2, which he set at the 2024 Joe Piane Invitational. The Hurricane, WVa. native helped the Mountaineers to a first-place finish in the team standings with a season-low 23 points.

Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Hannah Toth, Marshall
(Jr. | Westminster, Md.)
 
Junior Hannah Toth led Marshall’s women’s team with a 68 second PR in her first race in nearly two years, finishing with a 17:43 at the Louisville Cross Country Classic. Toth’s previous 5K PR was 18:57 at the 2023 edition of the Louisville Classic. Toth was the top Sun Belt Conference finisher in the Louisville Cross Country Classic Gold Race.
