Georgia Southern Women's Golf Concludes Season at NCAA Championship

CARLSBAD, CA – Georgia Southern women’s golf concluded its historic season on Sunday afternoon at the NCAA National Championship at Omni La Costa Resort.

The Eagles missed the top 18 cut to play in Monday's match play final and finished in a tie for 24th after shooting 295-313-292=900 (+26) as a team.

Freshman Mary Miller had the best card going 70-82-70 (+6), senior LoraLie Cowart was second on the team shooting 73-77-73 (+7). Drive Tunwannarux finished 15-over par while Kelsey Chen and Louise Reau both shot 17-over par.

This was Georgia Southern’s first National Championship appearance in program history. The Eagles recorded the highest finish by a Sun Belt school since 2009 when Denver finished sixth.
