NEW ORLEANS – South Alabama’s Anna Behnsen has been named Sun Belt Women's golfer of the week after winning her first collegiate tournament.

Behnsen fired a career-low four-under par (209) at the Inverness Intercollegiate capturing her first tournament victory. The sophomore was the lone player in the 65-player field to finish under par. She started with a round of even par before firing off a second round of 68, marking a career low round for Behnsen. Her final round 69 marked her fifth career round under 70.
 
Behnsen recorded 12 birdies and continues to lead South Alabama in birdies through the first two tournaments of the fall with 19.
