NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern’s Davis Taylor and teammate Gregoire Delattre earned Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Players of the Week honors after a pair of undefeated showings.

Georgia Southern’s Davis Taylor moved up a spot in the lineup for the Eagles' pair of road matches in Florida this weekend and responded with a perfect 2-0 mark. The Brookhaven, Ga. native began with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Piqueras of North Florida, helping the Eagles knock off the Ospreys by a 4-2 score in Jacksonville. It was Georgia Southern's first win at UNF since 1988. The redshirt sophomore then picked up a tough three-set win over Lorenzetti of Stetson.
Men’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Georgia Southern’s pairing of Gregoire Delattre and Davis Taylor went 2-0 this weekend in road action as the Eagles took the doubles point from both North Florida and Stetson. The pair defeated UNF's top doubles duo of Marques and Scott, 6-4, on Saturday as the Eagles collected a 4-2 win over the Ospreys in Jacksonville - the first win for Georgia Southern on the road over UNF since 1988. The pair also earned a tiebreaker win over Mandla and Verlaguet of Stetson on Sunday that clinched the doubles point against the Hatters.
