POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Led by Zoe Duval, App State combined to score a three-under par 285 to lead the field on the first day of the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golf Championship held at the Lakewood Golf Club.

App State was the only team to finish under par and holds a three-stroke lead over the field. ULM sits in second (E) and Texas State is third (+9). The three teams are paired together for round two and will tee off hole one starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Four individuals recorded rounds under par today with ULM’s Daniela Campillo and Troy’s Manya Saini both shooting 4-under (68) to lead the field. Duval’s three-under (69) is good for solo third, South Alabama’s Lilian Buehle shot two-under (70) and ULM’s Anna Andrysova was one-under (71).

The second round of the 54-hole championship begins at 8 a.m. CT on Tuesday and will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live scoring available through Scoreboard.

The Lakewood Golf Club, a member of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, had its beginnings in 1944. Perry Maxwell, designer of the Tulsa Southern Hills Country Club, created Lakewood’s original Dogwood course in 1947, making it the first professional quality golf course in south Alabama. Lakewood Golf Club hosted the 1974, 1986 and 2021 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship.
