POINT CLEAR, Ala. – ULM, South Alabama, Texas State, and Old Dominion advanced to match play after 54 holes of stroke play at the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golf Championship on Wednesday afternoon at Lakewood Golf Club.
After three rounds, Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina were tied for the fourth and final match play spot. The teams entered a playoff on the par-5 18th hole, where all five players from each team teed off. The combined scores of each team determined the winner.
Old Dominion played the hole at even par, while Coastal Carolina finished at three-over par, giving the Monarchs the No. 4 seed in Thursday’s match play semifinals.
ULM secured the No. 1 seed with a team score of 7-over par (871) and will face No. 4 Old Dominion (882, +18). South Alabama earned the No. 2 seed with a score of 16-over par (880) and will take on No. 3 Texas State (881, +17) in the semifinals.
The championship match will take place shortly after the conclusion of the semifinal round.
Old Dominion’s Barbara Car claimed Sun Belt individual medalist honors after finishing at seven-under par over three rounds. She posted scores of 73-70-66 (209), with her final-round 66 setting the lowest single-round score in Sun Belt Women’s Golf Championship history at Lakewood Golf Club.
In addition to Car, the top six finishers earned all-tournament honors. ULM’s Daniela Campillo tied for second at five-under par alongside South Alabama’s Lilian Buehle. Southern Miss’ Louise Cuyvers finished fourth at three-under par, while Texas State’s Grace Quintanilla and App State’s Zoe Duval tied for fifth at two-under par.
The semifinal and championship match play rounds begin at 7:30 a.m. CT on Thursday and will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live scoring available through
Scoreboard.

The Lakewood Golf Club, a member of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, had its beginnings in 1944. Perry Maxwell, designer of the Tulsa Southern Hills Country Club, created Lakewood’s original Dogwood course in 1947, making it the first professional quality golf course in south Alabama. Lakewood Golf Club hosted the 1974, 1986 and 2021 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship.
