POINT CLEAR, Ala. – ULM captured the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golf Championship on Thursday afternoon at The Lakewood Golf Club, earning the conference’s automatic bid to NCAA Regionals.
The top-seeded Warhawks defeated No. 4 Old Dominion 4.5–0.5 in the semifinals before topping No. 3 Texas State 4–1 in the championship match.
Earlier in the day, No. 3 Texas State advanced with an upset over No. 2 South Alabama in the semifinal round. Briana LeMarie set the tone with a 5&4 win, followed by Fia Lindblom’s 6&5 victory. Grace Quintanilla secured the deciding point with a 2&1 win, sending Texas State to the finals.
No. 1 ULM earned its spot in the championship by defeating No. 4 Old Dominion in the other semifinal. Emma Lucrezia delivered the first point with a 5&4 victory, while Daniela Campillo added a 2&1 win. Johanna Sjursen clinched the match with a 3&2 result, giving the Warhawks their decisive third point.
In the championship match, ULM struck first as Anna Andrysova won 2&1. Texas State responded with Lindblom defeating Campillo 4&3 to even the score at 1–1.
Emma Manzini then put ULM back in front with a 3&2 victory. With the remaining matches tied, the championship came down to the 18th hole. Mana Hersperger clinched the title for ULM by sinking a 15-foot putt.
The Warhawks will find out their regional destination during the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals selection show which will air live on the Golf Channel on Wednesday, April 29 at 3 p.m. CT.
