NEW ORLEANS – Troy’s Manya Saini earns the season’s first Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honor after a fourth-place individual finish in the Golfweek Fall Challenge at the Caledonia Golf and Fish Club in Pawley’s Creek, South Carolina.
 
Saini, a fourth year from Ahmedabad, India, firing a 1-under 212 over the three-day tournament, carding a personal-best 5-under 66 in the opening round. Saini followed her debut with back-to-back 73s in the final two rounds en route to her top five finish.
 
She led the Golfweek Fall Challenge field with 12 birdies over her 54 holes. Overall, she finished 1-under on par-3 holes and 2-under on par-5 holes. The Sept. 11 honor is Saini’s first career Golfer of the Week honor.
