NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern’s Pierre Mouesca and Old Dominion’s Tatsiana Sasnouskaya went undefeated to earn Sun Belt Conference Tennis Player of the Week honors. 

Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Pierre Mouesca, Georgia Southern

Eagles’ freshman Pierre Mouesca has been the spark in the team’s recent success, helping lead the Eagles to a seven-match win streak. Mouesca went a perfect 3-0 in singles matches over the week and went 1-0 in doubles, helping the team take down North Florida for the first time since 2008, Mercer, and UAB. He earned three convincing wins over his opponents, winning 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 3 position against UNF, 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 3 position against Mercer, and 7-5, 6-1 at the No. 3 position against UAB.

Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Tatsiana Sasnouskaya, Old Dominion
(Sr., Minsk, Belarus)

Monarchs’ senior Tatsiana Sasnouskaya earned her third weekly honor of the season with her fourth win against a nationally-ranked opponent this spring. In ODU's only match of the week, she defeated 41st-ranked Malika Ngounoue of Kansas in three sets 3-6, 6-1, 7-5.
