NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern’s Dimitris Paliouras and Georgia State’s Francesca Miglio each went undefeated in league action to earn Sun Belt Conference Tennis Players of the Week honors.
Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Dimitris Paliouras, Georgia Southern

Georgia Southern’s Dimitris Paliouras played a significant role in the Eagles moving to the top of the Sun Belt standings with a pair of singles wins on the week. He earned a straight set victory over JMU at No. 1 singles to start the weekend. Paliouras also took a three-set victory over #111-ranked Conor van Schalkwyk of ODU that helped the Eagles claim the 4-3 win over the #49-ranked Monarchs, which marked the first win over a nationally ranked team for Georgia Southern since 1980.
Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Francesca Miglio, Georgia State

Georgia State’s Francesca Miglio went 4-0 over the weekend against South Alabama and Southern Miss. She started the weekend with a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles over South Alabama and a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles. On Sunday, Miglio posted another 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles and a 6-2, 7-5 win in singles to finish the weekend unblemished.
