NCAA Bryan Regional Results | NCAA Bermuda Run Regional Results
BRYAN, Texas – The 2024 Sun Belt Conference champion Texas State women’s golf team had its season come to an end with a 10th-place finish in the NCAA Bryan Regional at The Traditions Club with a 54-hole score of 31-over par 895 (297-301-297).
Junior and Sun Belt Women’s Golf Championship All-Tournament Team honoree Junia Gabasa finished tied for 13th on the individual leaderboard after compiling a 2-over par 218 (75-72-71). Individual medalist and graduate student Hailey Jones tied for 17th at 3-over par 219 (74-72-73) to lead the Bobcats.
The top five teams advancing to the NCAA Championships were top-seeded LSU (-8), SMU (-4), Clemson (-4), Vanderbilt (+1) and Texas A&M (+6).
Texas State won its second Sun Belt title – and its first since 2016 – with match play victories over Old Dominion and Georgia Southern at The Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Ala., on April 18.
Competing individually at the Bermuda Run Regional in North Carolina, Georgia Southern freshman Louise Reau finished tied for 10th place overall, as James Madison redshirt senior Kendall Turner tied for 24th with a 2-over par 218. Reau finished with a three-round total of 5-under par 211 after firing a 4-under par 68 in the final round.
The top-five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each of the six regional sites advance to the NCAA Championships which will be played May 17-22 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
