NEW ORLEANS - No. 6 Georiga Southern heads to Morgantown to take on No. 8 West Virginia to headline a full Saturday slate of Sun Belt men's soccer games.

FOUR IN THE TOP 25
For the third consecutive week four Sun Belt men’s soccer teams are ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Georgia Southern (8-0-1) replaces Marshall (3-4-1) as the top ranked team in the Sun Belt at No. 6, West Virginia (6-1-2) moved up to No. 8, Marshall dropped to No. 22 and Kentucky (5-0-3) to No. 24.
SOUTHERN’S STAND
Georgia Southern took down Marshall last weekend in what would be the program's first win over a top five team and first ranked win in twelve seasons. They face their second ranked opponent in No 8 West Virginia this weekend in Morgantown. Both teams are 2-0 in league play and have a ranked win under their belt.
MOUNTAINEER’S OFFENSIVE POWER
West Virginia has the most dominant offense in the league and the 19th ranked scoring offense in the nation (2.45 gpg). They lead the league in points (69), goals (22) and assists (25) as a team. They also have the league leader in points (17) and goals (8) as Pablo Pozos leads the league in both.
WILDCAT OPTION
Kentucky is one of the three Sun Belt teams to be undefeated through the first two weeks of league play. They host James Madison (1-6-1) on Saturday, a program who is still searching for their first Sun Belt win of the season. The Wildcats rank fourth in the league in scoring offense averaging 1.875 goals per game. In goal they have the 2024 Sun Belt goalkeeper of the year who is currently registering a .727 save percentage and a .750 goals against average.
EAGLES ON TOP
Georgia Southern has the most wins in the league with eight, having won all but one game by a single goal. They rely heavily on goalkeeper Nate Martinez who has kept it tight between the posts. Martinez ranks 9
th nationally in save percentage (.879) and 15th nationally in both goals against average (.444).

Seven of the Sun Belts 10 teams were ranked within the top 100 of the most recent RPI rankings. Georgia Southern (5), West Virginia (28), Marshall (33), South Carolina (40), Kentucky (54), James Madison (84), Old Dominion (98).
