NEW ORLEANS – After surpassing the NCAA career record for triple-doubles, Coastal Carolina’s Jalyn Stout was the lone non-autonomy conference student-athlete to be added to the 2025 AVCA Player of the Year Award Watchlist.
 
Stout joins the list of 30 student-athletes that were added to the Preseason Watchlist. Currently with 41 triple-doubles on the year, Stout was recently recognized by the NCAA as being the career leader in the statistical category across all divisions.
 
The junior setter from Coastal Carolina joins Creighton’s Ava Martin as the two non-autonomy student athletes on the list. Stout is one of 17 mid-year additions to the award, that is presented annually by Nike Volleyball and the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
