ROME, Ga. – The top two seeds, No. 1 Old Dominion and No. 2 Georgia Southern, each won their Semifinal matches on Saturday to reunite in the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Championship match for the second consecutive year at the Rome Tennis Center.
Old Dominion defeated No. 4 seed Troy 4-2 in the opening match of the day as Georgia Southern won 4-0 over No. 6 seed Coastal Carolina to finish the day.
The championship bout is scheduled for 1 p.m. EST and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Match 5: (1) Old Dominion 4, (4) Troy 2

No. 56 nationally ranked and top-seeded Old Dominion used the doubles point to return to the title tilt.
Troy (20-8) won on doubles court three with Luciano Alcocer and Henrique de Brito 7-5. The Monarchs earned victories on doubles courts one and two as the pair of First Team All-Conference doubles performers won 6-2 and 6-4 to secure the 1-0 advantage.
Old Dominion (16-8) won the first doubles match on court five as Jean-Karim Oliver de Sardan won 6-1, 6-0. Sun Belt Player of the Year Cosme Rolland de Ravel won his match on court one 6-2, 6-1 to put the Monarchs ahead 3-0.
Troy answered with a win on court three from Noah Martens who won in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. On court six, the Trojans made it a one point match 3-2 with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 win from Luciano Alcocer.
First Team All-Conference member Connor Van Schalkwyk secured the victory for Old Dominion on court two as he rallied in the second and third sets 6-3, 6-1. The 4-2 victory for Old Dominion sends the Monarchs to their third consecutive title bout in the Sun Belt.

Second-seeded Georgia Southern also used the momentum from the doubles point to return to the championship match with the 4-0 win over No. 6 Coastal Carolina.
Coastal Carolina (9-12) won the first doubles match on court one as Jack Dixon and Emiliano Balmaceda won 6-2. Georgia Southern (18-6) followed suite on court two as Dimitris Paliouras and Pol del Castillo won 6-2 to even the scoring at doubles. Court three required additional tiebreaker points as Pierre Mouesca and Matthew Mitchell gave the Eagles the pivotal 1-0 lead with the doubles point.
Georgia Southern won all but one first set across the six courts with Aaron James Williams being the first to finish on court two in 6-1, 6-1 fashion. Dimitris Paliouras followed shortly after on court one with a decisive 6-0, 6-2 victory. Pol del Castillo secured the victory on court three with the 7-5, 6-3 win to return the Eagles to the championship for the second straight season.
