ROME, Ga. – Coastal Carolina advanced its sticker on the bracket at the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Championship at the Rome Tennis Center for the second year in a row on Thursday.
The No. 8 seeded Chanticleers defeated No. 9 seeded Georgia State 4-0 to advance in the tournament for the second consecutive season. Coastal Carolina advances to face top-seeded Old Dominion at 10 a.m. EST in the Quarterfinals. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Eighth-seeded Coastal Carolina used the momentum from the doubles point to secure a spot in quarterfinals over nineth-seeded Georgia State.
Coastal Carolina (12-10) earned the doubles point from courts one and three. Georgia State (5-17) picked up the first doubles victory on court two 6-3 as the pairing of Cem Atlamis and Arthur Attrill gave the Panthers an early lead. Coastal Carolina’s Christopher Norlin and Eric Tripathi responded on court one with a 7-5 victory to even the doubles. On court three, the teams exchanged games as the tiebreak set started locked at 6-6. Curzio Manucci and Iannis Fernandes secured the doubles point for the Chanticleers winning the tiebreak 7-5 for an early 1-0 lead.
Coastal Carolina won five of the six first sets in singles as Juan Cruz Collardin secured a second team point by a 6-3, 6-2 scoreline on court two. Fellow Chanticleer Christopher Norlin won his match 6-2, 6-1 on court one to give Coastal the 3-0 advantage.
Georgia States Aleksander Andrin forced a third set on court four, however Coastal’s Curzio Manucci finished his match on court five 6-4, 6-4 to give the Chanticleers the victory.
