Georgia Southern, Louisiana, Old Dominion and Troy Advance to Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Championship Semifinals

ROME, Ga. – The top four seeds in the tournament all advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Championship at the Rome Tennis Center. Georgia Southern, Louisiana, Old Dominion and Troy each won their quarterfinal matchups to advance.
 
No. 1 seed and No. 54 nationally ranked Old Dominion will face No. 4 seed Louisiana in the first semifinal at 10 a.m. ET. No. 2 Troy and No. 3 Georgia Southern will meet in the second semifinal at 2 p.m. ET. Both matches will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
 
Match 2: (1) Old Dominion 4, (8) Coastal Carolina 1

Eighth-seeded Coastal Carolina (12-11) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the match after securing the doubles point on courts one and two. Rivers Cahill and Jack Dixon won 6-3 on court two as Christopher Norlin and Eric Tripathi won by the same scoreline on court one to secure the early lead.
 
Top-seeded Old Dominion (18-6) responded on court four singles as Jean-Karim Olivier de Sardan tied the match at one with a 6-3, 6-2 win. Fellow Monarch Adam Majchrzak followed suite shortly after on court one with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
 
The final two courts decided the match with Zechariah Hamrouni winning 6-4, 6-1 on court five to put Old Dominion ahead 3-1. Aryan Saleh secured the victory on court six with a 6-0, 6-4 win to send the Monarchs back into the semifinals for the fourth consecutive season.
 
Match 3: (4) Louisiana 4, (5) South Alabama 1

Fourth-seeded Louisiana (11-6) used the momentum from the doubles point to secure a return trip to the semifinals.
 
The doubles tandem of Gianluca Filoramo and Samuel Kyjaci won 6-1 on court three as teammates Mason Landreth and Leonard Tramolay won 6-3 on court one to give the Ragin’ Cajuns the early lead.
 
South Alabama (9-11) tied the match on court five as Jules Caby earned the 6-2, 6-0 decision. Louisiana answered on court six as Nikola Kolyachev won the tiebreak in the second set 9-7 for the straight set victory.
 
David Simeonov followed suite with a straight set victory, 6-3, 6-4, on court four to give Louisiana the 3-1 lead. Leonard Tramolay used the momentum from his 7-5 tiebreak win in set one to seal the match 6-2 in the second set.
 
Match 4: (2) Troy 4, (7) Southern Miss 1

Second-seeded Troy (23-4) used the momentum from the doubles point to return to the semifinals for the second consecutive season.
 
Luciano Alcocer and Hiiro Sakamoto won 6-2 on court two to give the Trojans the early advantage. The duo of Yeray Andres Pastor and Ryusei Miyazato won 6-3 on court three for the 1-0 Troy lead.
 
The Trojans continued the offensive pressure on courts six and four to extend to a commanding 3-0 lead. Louis Boilevin finished his match first on court six by a 6-1, 6-1 line. Sakamoto followed suite on court four with a 6-1, 6-3 win.
 
Southern Miss (8-12) found success on court three as Saheb Sodhi won 6-3, 6-4 to give the Golden Eagles their lone point of the match. Troy’s Stephan Tavares Noale secured the match on court five by a 7-5, 6-0 score.
 
Match 5: (3) Georgia Southern 4, (6) James Madison 2

Third-seeded Georgia Southern (11-8) rallied in singles to overcome an early 1-0 deficit to advance to the championship semifinals for the third consecutive year.
 
Eighth-seeded James Madison (13-8) won the doubles point with a trio of highly contested matches. Georgia Southern’s duo of Willy Mirarchi and Matthew Mitchell won 7-5 on court three to open the doubles. James Madison’s Esteve Agusti and Aurelien Schmitt won 7-5 on court one. On the decisive court two, the Dukes’ duo of Zach Fleishman and Gur Libal won the tiebreak 7-3 to secure the early 1-0 lead for James Madison.
 
The Eagles responded on court three as Willy Mirarchi won 6-3, 6-3 to even the scoring at one. Georgia Southern took a 2-1 lead as Albert Widell won 6-2, 6-3 on court five. Libal answered for the Dukes on court six, 6-2, 6-2, to level the scoring at two. The remaining three courts all entered the third set as a trip to the semifinals hung in the balance.
 
Georgia Southern’s Albert Saar won 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 on court one to give the Eagles the 3-2 advantage. Gregoire Delattre bounced back after losing the first set 6-2 to win 6-3, 6-3 to send the Eagles back to the semifinals, 4-2.
