NEW ORLEANS – Yvonne Chamness of Texas State has earned Sun Belt women's golfer of the week for the second time this fall.

Chamness tied for 2nd place individually, while leading the Bobcats to a runner-up finish at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate last week. On the par 72 course the senior posted an opening round of 67, followed by an even par round and finished off with a 68 (207). Chamness tied for fourth most birdies in the tournament with 12 to go along with two eagles. She leads the team with six rounds in the 60s this season. Her 9-under performance was one stroke shy of her season-best -10 posted at the Sam Golden Invitational.
