NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina’s Amilia Wise-Sweat and Texas State’s Precious Okougbodu earned recognition as the Sun Belt Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performance last week.

Coastal Carolina’s Amilia Wise-Sweat ran a 2:09.56 in the 800m dash at the Darius Dixon Invitational. Her time ranks first in the Sun Belt and marked a new school record.
Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Precious Okougbodu, Texas State

Texas State’s Precious Okougbodu placed fourth in the triple jump with a PR mark of 12.98m, which improved upon her previous beset by .42 meters. The mark was the third-best triple jump in TXST history. She now holds the top spot in the SBC. She is also the only athlete in the SBC to record a mark over 12.90 meters this season and leads the conference by .16 meters. In the long jump, she recorded an indoor PR mark of 5.67m and sits tied for nineth in the SBC.
