NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana third-year forward Carson Glenn and Old Dominion fourth-year goalkeeper Ellie Goodrich received Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors following the 2026 season’s first week of league play.
 
Glenn notched Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in her career and first since Oct. 21, 2025, while Goodrich is the first Monarch to earn Defensive Player of the Week recognition since teammate and defender Ashlynn Kulha on Aug. 26, 2025.
 
Glenn will lead Louisiana into a conference showdown against Goodrich and Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va., on Thursday, Sept. 24.
 
Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week?

Glenn registered eight points on three goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Ragin’ Cajuns. She started the week with two goals and one assist in a 5-0 road win at Southern in the team’s non-conference finale on Sept. 15 before adding one goal and an assist in a 3-2 comeback victory over Coastal Carolina in the team’s Sun Belt opener on Sept. 20. Glenn broke a 2-2 tie in the 69th minute against the Chanticleers for her sixth goal of the season and second game-winner of the year.
 
Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Ellie Goodrich, Old Dominion

Goodrich earned her second shutout of the season during the Monarchs’ 1-0 road win over ULM in their Sun Belt opener on Sept. 18. She earned her second win of the year in the net while assisting Old Dominion’s back line in holding the Warhawks to just one total shot attempt and only three corner kick opportunities.
